The Tomaree Board of Christian Education has been in existence for over 25 years. The Board is approved by joint local churches to represent them in facilitating SRE. The local churches represented by the board are:
- All Saints Anglican Church
- BayLife Church (ACC)
- Beachside (CRC)
- Gateway Presbyterian
- Lighthouse Baptist Church Nelson Bay
- C3 Spectrum Church
- Port Stephens Salvation Army
- The Rock Church (INC)
The current chairperson of the board is Ewen Williamson from Gateway Presbyterian Church.
